You just don't know how much I hated this book. It was pretty good when I started reading it but all of the detail is overwhelming like how it takes 2 pages to describe how Hester walked through the prison door. It's just crazy. I pretty much stopped reading about the 12th chapter, watched the movie and read like the last few chapters. I have a stupid english assignment to explain why the book ends the way it does and I'm having a hard time. I understand all that happened in it and all but how am I supposed to know why Hawthorne ended it like that? I read the chapters I didn't read and everything and I'm still stuck :( stupid book, it would be ok if it was more interesting.....<br>Mk.G.
