The role of the chorus in Oedipus trilogy is to anticipate the forthcoming events usually tragic ones.
Th e role of the chorus in Oedipus trilogy is to criticize the King and point out his flaws. Moreover its function is to comment on the cuurent moral rules as it represents the society - Citizens of Thebes.<br>IB student

This is specific Eva but on the general level chorus in Greek tragedies has the role of anticipating the tragic forthcoming events.

the role of the chorus is to interact with the characters, anticipate the forhtcomming events, comment on the events that have taken place as a sort of summary, act as a peace maker and their role is also to suspend the dramatic climax.
