Pride and Prejudice isn't so much about "girls falling in love with a bunch of guys" as much as testing the integrity of exceedingly well-formed characters.
Certainly plenty of the characters are obnoxious. Isn't that the case in real life? They are not cardboard, all good or all bad. They're family members that can't be anymore destroyed than unwritten. The obnoxious characters are good foil for Lizzy, whose good sense shines in comparison. And as Lizzy said, "There are few people I love and even less who I respect."
If Pride and Prejudice is boring to you, that's up to you. But kindly inform me then, what is interesting?
