i am an 18 year old girl reading this novel for a year 12 litreature class and i must say even if i had not been forced to read it i still would have, i enjoyed this book alot and would read it again. I think that those people who say that it is boring or over the top do not understand Austens writing. Her characters are over the top and at times unbearable because that is as she intends them to be, it is this that makes the book so enjoyable we laugh at the characters because in our time we could not imagen peole being like they are. She is having a go at everyone and to me that is what makes it so funny, i think people who read the book need to be more light hearted about it and know that the characters are taken to far and thats a good thing
