Tragic figure

Does the narrator ever claim that Peter is a tragic figure?

in the novel barrie doesnt claim that pan is a tragic figure and i dont believe he meant him to be. all the characters in the novel have an unfulfilled side to them but i don't believe that makes them tragic nor even flawed. i think he speaks of differing elements of human nature. i did find it curious though that the lost children are only boys andwendy is accepted not as a child but as an adult. the only female children seem to be among the indians.
