Hey, this book is amazing and the film is one of my favourites (despite a little over acting by Daniel Day Lewis under the waterfall). I am transforming this book into a screenplay for a new movie, one based in a moder day metropolis, the English and French represented as multinational buisness empires, the indians as street gangs and all the characters fitting into their respective places etc. Imagine the way that "Romeo Must Die" was taken from Romeo and Juliet, that sort of thing. I would appreciate any useful insights into the text, constuctive comments or ideas as to how the transformation might develop.
