First read Little Women nearly 8 years ago. Still love it. I think I'll go against the commonly-held view here and say that I admire Alcott for NOT marrying Jo and Laurie. The relationship they have is much more dynamic as a friendship than a romance. Both needed a calmer "other half" - and Amy (much as I dislike her character) and Mr Bhaer provide that. Besides, Jo and Teddy would have been too cliched
