I know that it is very unsettling that Laurie marries Amy instead of Jo since that is not at all what anyone expects, but I believe that it is exactly the way the book should go. Unlike many others who put their review on here, I believe that Jo and Laurie most likely didn't make the best match. Why? Because they were so perfect for each other, they may not have gotten along that well. They both were almost exactly the same. Think of how boring their life might have been. And concerning the Professor and Jo, all I have to say is one thing: "Opposites attract." :)
