Sorry but I think that Prof Bhaer was another literary representation of her father, and as Louisa 'was' Jo, in my opinion, she was keeping true to her love for her father, in Jo marrying the Prof. And I don't want any accusations of incest or me having a dirty mind in that, just that Louisa loved her father and had a great respect and regard for him.

In the books, of course, the father Mr March is a near saint figure, even more so than John Brooke or Marmee herself!
