The Book is without doubt a classic. Obviously not everyones thoughts will be the same. But readers who have a thread of existentialism will really enjoy this book and besides one thing that has to be considered is that this book was written long before Neitzche's theory came into circulation.<br><br>There are so many conversation which just set off the thought process within u. And scenes which leave a mark on u like the dream of the horse and the cart leaves in Rodya's mind. <br><br>It is an immense work of literature. It is understandable that a person might not be able to enjoy it. But questioning its literary value is sacrilege. And I think they should probably read a bit more of Tolstoy before coming into this.
