Here in the corner of the room
where all the shadows loom
upon the walls like thunderclouds

I throw a glance across the floor
and see the faces I adore
amongst the men that heaven sent

On this stage I'm set to play the clown
my words in joyful laughter drown
Ignored until the curtain calls

As I feel empty and unstrung
You put a crystal on my tongue
the bitter taste, it lingers long

But when that crystal hits my heart
my mind ignites, as if a spark
had set my sleeping soul on fire

And as i sweep across this floor
and suck the love I'm begging for
a revelation comes to mind

Under the beaming lights of moon
under your costumes and perfumes
you're just an ordinary crowd
