The Search

The inn was noisy. Passing there
They wandered to the stable where
A new-born was asleep.

Was this what they were looking for?
They paused, set gifts upon the floor.
The well of grace is deep.

They gazed above and then below.
They went as far as they could go
And felt joy's warm delight.

The star then faded from the sky,
But in their hearts it's shining high
As first seen one dark night.
