Gooooooooooooooooooood evening, good evening, good evening.

Who else here is a fan of the ever-so-quite interesting BBC show QI?

I especially love it when David Mitchell, Reginald D Hunter, Sean Lock or Rich Hall are guesting.

And of course, there is the lovely Alan Davies (also sometimes known as Jonathon Creek).

Some of my favourite QI facts:

- the song Yankie Doodle Dandy was written by a Brit as an insult to the Americans (during the War of Independence, I believe).

- the barnacle has the largest penis comparitive to its body size of any creature. It was also believed that barnacles were the eggs of the Barnacle goose, hence the name.

- people once believed that cotton was a sheep plant, like so:

Is Stephen Fry the regular host of this?

I've only seen a little on Youtube, so can't comment on anything except Emma Thompson's appearance.

Yep I'm a fan. I have the book of general ignorance. Here's one at random for you:

Where do tigers mostly live?

The USA.

A century ago, there were about 40,000 tigers in India. Now there are between 3,000 and 4700...

On the other hand, there are thought to be 4,000 tigers living in captivity in Texas alone. The American Zoo and Aquarium Association estimate that up to 12,000 tigers are being kept as private pets in the USA. Mike Tyson personally owns four of them...

Despite the efforts of conservationists tigers are expected to be extinct in the wild by the end of the current century.

A domestic cat is about 1 percent the size of a tiger.

Tigers cannot abide the smell of alcohol. The will savage anyone who has been drinking.:yikes:

Tigers fade as they get older and who can blame them.

I LOVE this show! I'm not able to follow it as religiously as I wish, since I live in America, but I'll watch when I can. I love the different buzzers they have each week. Stephen Fry, Alan Davies, general ignorance, and buzzers! What more could you ask for?

One of the funniest clips bits ever on the show was about the giant tortoise:

I enjoy it, though it must be said that some of their 'facts' are highly spurious...
