Im trying to figure out what is the standard or difinitive edition of Jane Eyre, if you have any ideas please let me know what edition it is and why.

I don't think there is a "standard" or definitive edition of the book. It depends on what you want to get out of your copy. Do you want a lot of historical background, critical essays, reviews, etc.? Or do you just want the straight up book? I don't think the actually text of the book has changed too significantly over the years, despite a couple of re-editings of it by Bronte in the early reprints. Contemporary editors may modernize a little bit, but it will not make a vast difference in your experience with it. I would go on Amazon and browse for what suits your needs/desires best.
