Sweet Muse

She looks with her faraway eyes
far beyond the skies
into worlds untouched by mere mortals,
hiding behind mysteries veil,
painted in strokes of midnight
her divine beauty
a gift from the evasive moonlight
illuminated the quaking dark soul
she harbors inside
with secretive smiles
and no apologies
she transcends
above our reality,
to those worlds of her own,
but listen closely to the wind
and you may here
the voice whisper
temptations in your ear.

Some fool with messy, mad hair,
Was enjoying the light, café air,
When he unaccountably got
In a weird, blurry shot,
And the cameraman cried in despair.

 Not bad for something off the top of my head...

I see you share my tendency to write limmericks :)

A girl inside herself, happy there,
forced on stage with color hair,
her camouflage not working.

A mum with so many words to say
her own became sealed away
to speak aloud was hurting.

Hidden behind her curtain of red,
so many thoughts filling her head,
but there she is, still lurking.

Good, cacian, I look forward to it. It took me long enough to post on my own game. :)

step up to the light
watch the sky turns bright
and you be highest far
amongst moons and stars

As I doze on the hammock in fall,
There are seagulls above me who call,
But there's nothing to do
Except dream about you
While the sunlight makes space for us all.

scared, scarred, learning to grow

I talked to you

You're going to be okay, hon. Love you, Chirpy.

but I'm just a silly goose.
and
geese don't chirp.

He meddles in the morning
and he meddles through the night,
when he sees a poem posted
he meddles with delight.
The urge is irresistible,
he cannot hold it in,
he has to just rewrite it
though he knows it is a sin.
But what is he to do
when he reads a verse by you,
aching to be meddled with
to make it something new:
“You didn’t understand it,”
the plaintive cries ignored,
of course he understood it
but it needs to be reforged.
So by the fires of Mordor
the poet Sauron scribbles,
his ring of power glowing bright
beside a plate of nibbles:
fuelled by I/V coffee
and lots of cigarettes,
he’s meddling with purpose now,
unburdened with regrets.

(Written over three years ago when my avatar was something else, but I was wearing the ring ;))

pretty lady
they say pink
is frilly
encourages witty
to turn silly
for the sake of
kitty
but red is
parody
to a sky that
swim to
eclipse of sun
to look its fervent
fun
painter have it
run
to encourage
and stun
it is lovely how it won
