I love music almost more than anything else! So of course I want to know: what is the last good song you listened to? The last song that I listened to that I really love was Jukebox Hero by Foreigner. Going old school, well at least for me. :D

Stairway To Heaven by Led Zeppelin - in my humble opinion the greatest rock song ever created.

I've been in a serious Wolfmother mood again lately and that means listening to the song, White Unicorn...often...

wlz - I adore them!!! I'm listening to Misty Mountain Hop right now. Are you? ;)
Yes, JackieGinger, I am a fan of Led Zeppelin. The songs 'Kashmir', 'Achilles Last Stand', and 'The Rain Song' are among my favourite tunes of all time. Although, when my freind and I get together, we generally play songs or, try to play songs, off the Led Zeppelin III album. Especially, 'Gallows Pole', a fantastic tune. That album was heavily criticized, I believe, for being too melodic... but what a set of seriously great tunes! A fantastic group with great lyrics to match. Any favourites?
JackieGinger

Well, I like all their songs... I agree with you, Gallows Pole is fantastic, and I like In My Time of Dying, Robert Plant is a genius, but I think you already know that ;), and of course, needless to mention Jimmy's skills. Of course I like Stairway to Heaven, oh and I can play its intro on my acoustic guitar. Another favorite is Since I've Been Loving You, and The Rain Song, and Going to California. Though I'm less fond of In Through the Outdoor, because of the instrumental part :(, don't get me wrong, I like those songs as well. Oh I cannot choose my favorite song...it's soooooooo hard! :)
JackieGinger, I would have to say: "Page is the genius... and Plant's skills" but whatever works from your angle on things. Have you any idea who wrote the lyrics? I suppose they all had a hand in them. I think Page is the favoured member for me because of his interest in Aleister Crowley and the occult, his dislike of football and the fact that he was a very skilled guitarist/musician. (I am a very marginal character, lol!)
I am listening to The Ocean right now. Next up, hmmm... probably Black Dog.

wlz, I agree with you, Page is a genius. I think he helped in the lyrics, but most of the time RP came up with them (but maybe I'm wrong), well for instance Stairway is entirely Robert's piece (I mean the lyrics). But being in a band means group work so I think they all contributed (though they appear to have neglected John Paul Jones ;)) ). I'm listening to Poor Tom!
Oh an about Page and Plant, I'm in love with the voice of RB, but I like Jimmy too, and a lot. He's mysterious and Plant is a heartbreaker, which appeals to my tastes(and also, his voice and looks give me hmmm...the thrills?!):D!

To all the Zep fans: if you like folk, on top of liking Zep, try out Robert Plant & Alison Krauss. Awesome folk.
For me? Well, I've been salivating over the song Your Ex-Lover is Dead by Stars.
Thank you, Molpadia. It is quite an album. I mean the album by Robert Plant & Alison Krauss. I must check out 'Your Ex-Lover is Dead'!

To all the Zeppelin fans: try out Pentangle, because Zeppelin greatly admired them and original wanted to sound like them, although they diverged in their styles. Pentangle is truly one of the best bands. :)

Oh, glad you liked it! It's a rarely-known band, at least where I live...
DC&C is a great band. It's embarassing but for the longest time I thought Ben Gibbard, the lead singer of Death Cab, was the same person as Colin Meloy, from the Decemberists... They look and sound somewhat similar although it doesn't make so much sense that there would be two contemporary full-bands with the same person leading and writing like that...

This is just a couple guys playing in a radio station but this is what it sounds like on the album, just an acoustic guitar and a stand-up bass. It's amazing how full and satisfying two measly instruments can sound.
