Why does J. M. Barrie write that peter pan looks a lot like mrs. darling's hidden kiss and why is it so easy for him to get that kiss when mr. darling failed?

I don't think our mates, our children or our friends ever quite see the true longings of our soul. One might call it a hidden kiss; in biblical times they called it the desire of ones loins. Mrs Darlings family seemed to see her as someone who could be won by money, or affection, or power; peter was Mrs Darlings creation, so he looked like all of the hidden things she most desired.

I haven't heard that one before.
I've also heard that Peter is Ms. Darlings true love; her inner child that she so badly longs for. Her own desire to be youthful again. Peter Pan is her youth that he is surpassing through to her children.. If that makes sense? I don't know. Made perfect sense in my head. Haaa..
