...as if you just wasted 2 hours of your life watching a movie?

I had that feeling after watching Twilight.

I felt very similarly after watching Napoleon Dynamite. I haven't seen Twilight, but I don't think I'm going to reserve any time for it, either.

I'm not one for jumping on bandwagons, I suppose.
But---at least I watched the movie.
(Now the herds will urge me to read the book---a more time consuming activity---because it's allegedly better.)

And the whole comparing it to Titanic just made my stomach turn.

Every person with a Y chromosome should pay close attention to that movie/book. Learn a thing or two...;)

No? I just don't see why somebody wouldn't like a two hour long acid trip. Sheesh.
I watched the entire movie through clips on youtube. I thought it was fantastic.

Natural Born Killers. bleck.

That is an amazing movie.
But you need to not watch it for the violence.
Watch it for the philosophy.

Same here. It was utter drivel.

My flat-mates took me to see Watchmen the other day - and my goodness did I find it boring. Terminally dull! The thing could be neatly divided into thirds. It was one third pointless exposition, one third music video and one third softcore porno. It all seemed entirely pointless. I really want those three hours of my life back...

Yes.

Shrek 3, that is.

There was this one time I was at the movies and there was a moth in the projector, we barely saw any of the movie. Apart from that, I generally take something away from each one I see. Even if it's ideas on how I could do it better , so as such I don't really ever see one of them as a waste of time. I always learn something.

Yeah I can relate to what you say. I try to take the not-so-aeshtetically-pleasing things in life in a constructive manner too but sometimes it just fails. Like on how to improve Shrek 3? Nah that was a hopeless case! :p

I've already tried stalking. It doesn't work.

In which case I highly recommend the graphic novel. No faster, but I'm guessing it's far more intellectual.

As for the topic itself, I'm going to say White Chicks. Physically painful to watch.

I've got to go with Sprinks here: every movie I watched, had something in it. It can be just a line that got stuck in my head for a while (I even carved a quote in the dinner table one day while watching a movie on TV :p ). It can be a nice scenic compilation. It can be an unexpected act by one of the characters. It can be a twist of camera location: filming a scene from a point of view I would not myself have chosen but making it more interesting. It can be a fighting scene, it hardly ever is a love making scene though. It can be a nice car. The list goes on :) And if they put some nice music in it, I usually am happy no matter what  So I guess I could end up liking Shrek 3, regardless the story - I haven't seen that one yet though.
I even like horror/Sci-Fi movies with "bad" special effects, maybe even more than "great" ones - there is something in paper mache monsters which makes them nice to watch :D I also watch those typical action movies with Jacques Segal or Jean Claude von Damme - I guess I just easily get grasped by moving frames :p Easy to dream away on ;)

I've seen a lot of movies I could easily live without, but can think of none that felt like a complete waste of time. Though I have to say Titanic came quite near...

Not seen Twilight and I do not think I will go to the movies to see it.

hahhahaha YES! Yesterday night I went to see a play that had been written/directed/produced by junior college students and it was seriously :flare:. Yes, seriously :flare:. So dreadfully cliched. And to top it all off, after the star-crossed Italian senorita drowned herself the dad had a heart-attack, the mom went crazy, and the angered townspeople ran the rake and his wealthy old wife out of town. And ever after, the ghost of Flora Bella can be seen at nights dancing on the old bridge...

:crash:.

Talledega Nights...I didn't laugh once. And the Untouchables...way too overdramatic. Everything was just too convenient. And oh god..Sean Conary. It just hurts to watch him. The masterful authority on everything ugh. Not to mention Kevin Costner...Never liked him much (except in Dances with Wolves)

On a trip to Brighton I was forced by a group vote to sit through THREE hours of Kevin Costner's 'The Postman' It was painful in more ways than one! :yawnb:

I hated Napoleon Dynamite, although I didn't see it for the first time in theaters. The Perfect Storm, not only do I hate that movie, something about it scared the crap out of me the first time I watched it. (Still not sure what it was.) Never watched it again.

I saw all of a few minutes of Napolean Dynamite and turned it off. I just don't get what everyone thought was so hilarious.

I saw the Perfect Storm when I was like 12. I really liked it. It's interesting how your perspectives change from a child to an adult. Maybe I'll watch it again to see what I think.
You gotta admit, Marky Mark's come a loooong way

I like bad movies. I can always learn something with them and sometimes they're so bad they're hilarious. I just hate average ones, the ones that don't strike me at all and make me feel that I would be better off sleeping. Most of the films from my country are like this...

Napoleon Dynamite was very bad, my brother loved it and gave me a special two disc edition, I watched it once then a few days ago I walked into a room and saw my 3 year old son rubbing the discs against rocks... can't say I was unhappy about that... also every single movie Jason statham and steven siegal were in...
