ONE FLEETING GAZE
Sex is something I have always fought. It works so strongly on me that I have to battle it to keep my life my own. Ordinary life, marriage for example, tends to take over and banish sexual passions. Our1 joint glances cross
like interarching searchlights
on low beam quietly registering
key, tone, manner, mode, pitch,
intensity, freedom, care, thought,
all in one fleeting gaze that confirms
and tells many stories that can and
can't be told of a friendship that I need
more than sex's anarchous chaos which
could come and take my life away
to heights beyond this ordinarily ordinary
which will endure until tomorrow and
tomorrow and all the pity and petty paces
wherein I build this fortress of well-being. :p
