Did anybody else get bored part way through Lucy's predicament? My focus started waining after too much, "she was so pale and smiled so bravely". I was actaully about to put the whole thing down for something more thrilling (astronomy textbook) when he finally moved on to introduce the vampire researcher. But they had to start all over again with the other girl...
