I need to analyze this poem, but i'm having trouble really comprehending it. can anyone help me out? It's Emily Dickinson's Poem This Quiet Dust was Gentlemen and Ladies:
This quiet dust was gentlemen and ladies
And lads and girls;
Was laughter and ability and sighing,
And frocks and curls;
This passive place a summer's nimble mansion,
Where bloom and bees
Fulfilled their oriental circuit,
Then ceased like these.
I was trying to compare/contrast it with her other poem I am Nobody! Who are You?-if you have any insights, they would be welcome and soon!
