When did Hamlet finally find it within himself take revenge for his fathers death? And in the play does this transformation seem to take place?

Never. He kills Claudius, in the heat of the moment, after Gertrude succumbs to the poison. Unpremeditated murder!

Some have suggested that Hamlet was, in the final scene, avenging his own death rather than his father's; he knew he was dying when he killed Claudius ...
