Was given a few questions on this poem for school:

Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

Asses wheter the text you have just analyzed is worth reading. In doing so you will have to first establish the criteria upon which to evaluate a poem in general and then apply the criteria you have chosen to the poem you have selected.

To help you through this process you may want to consider your values, beliefs, biases, steriotypes and standards as a whole and then hold those standards up to the values, beliefs, biases and / or steriotypes expressed in the poem itselft. So, do the ideas, values, beliefs and / or ideologies contained in the poem coincide or conflict with your own? How so? in what ways? was the poem able to help you see the world in a way you have never before considered?

Any tips on how to take this on are appreciated, thanks and regards.
