Rain

It's cloudy again.
And mist pervades the air.
The sky is dull and moody.
And the air refuses to move.
The atmosphere is cold and causes shivers.
The winds have blown the rain clouds here.
South-East winds to be precise.
The rain will water our crops.
It will keep our wells filled to the brim.
But for your sake, we will all be locked
in our houses.
You whom the umbrella cannot withstand it's
wrath.
The peasants and farmers are happy for your
coming.
The dying brown blades of grass are refreshed.
They are green again.
The scorched earth is happy.
It will receive water again after a longtime
of your absence.
A whole season of dryness and drought is
over.
A new season has set in to put our troubled
hearts at rest.
How I wish it would rain always.
How I long for the next season of rain to
watch the endless silvery lines from heaven.
