can anyone who has read his essay-shooting an telephant, talk about your opinion about this essay, what do u think of the tone of this essay? why it describe the man killed by an elephant in this essay?

in my modest opinion, the reason why George Orwell focuses his essay on the description of the man BEFORE he was accidentally crashed by the elephant must be related to the fact that the poor fellow was indeed hardly recognizable afterwards.

But hey, that's just an opion, and I might be wrong.
If I'll ever read this must-read essay, shooting an telephant, I will let you know.

It is such a short peice that essay. All of Orwell's works have underlying concepts of defeat and power, this does as wel but being one of his earlier works is not as prominenent. But like nns stated focus on the description of him before the elephant cushes him and compare it to after. Life weighs you down.
