When Cathy and Ellen ride out to find Linton on the moors, Linton starts from his slumber. The text reads " "I thought I heard my father," he gasped, glancing up to the frowning nab above us. "You are sure nobody spoke?" "
I would be very grateful if somebody could explain the use of the word "nab" here. Many thanks.
