I didn’t get to be in on all of these, but I read several and didn’t realize they were on the 2007 list until just now. I read a lot of Truman Capote this past year and I loved everything I read. Maybe it was because it was like reading in my own language and dialect and it was just so familiar. I liked Pygmalion, too.

I voted for Master and Margarita even though I didn't read it in 2007, it's the best one of the bunch.

(Virgie - I'm not sure how to add you vote or I would.)

All types of books are eclectic in abbrobation,it all depends one's thinking, and there will be no conflict whether a book is laudable or not. What I covet,is to praise all the books in the world for their hard work.

I especially enjoyed Vonnegut's Breakfast of Champions.
For those who liked it, please check "Slaughter House No.5". Easy reading.

Not like Proust.
