I have this AP English paper I have to write on the Scarlett Letter and my teacher is crazy and can't explain things worth crap, and I'm so confused about what I need to be looking for. I really need a good grade on this so if anyone can help me I would GREATLY appreciate it. Here's what I need to find out:
After focusing on narrative/descriptive, illustrative and rhetoric elements in S.L., combine thses 3 modes in a 4-5 page paper in which you discuss, using evidence quoted from the novel, how Hawthorne's rhetoric devices and elements of style studied develop the novel's themes (effect of guilt and sin, societal alienation, intolerance, forgiveness, obsession with revenge, and redemption)
Again, I'm flipping out over this paper and I really would appreciate the help.
