After reading the Three Musketeers, I've had the urge to read more of Dumas's novels. But I'm unsure as to which translation is the best for me to read.
I read the modern library version of the Three Musketeers, which I thought was pretty good. Then again, I don't have anything to judge it against, so I'm unsure how true to the original text it actually was.
I'd like to get the best translations for the rest of the series, and possibly replace the Three Musketeers if that particular translation isn't true to the text, as well as the Count of Monte Christo. Does anyone have any suggestions?
