i love the modern translation about chekhov and would love to collect his complete works-----i hate reading on the computer screen

plus books usually are annotated very well with introduction from professors and editors

so, does anyone have complete collection of short stories:)

The Norton Critical Edition (http://www.amazon.com/Anton-Chekhovs-Stories-Norton-Critical/dp/0393090027/ref=sr_1_5/103-7191303-6331058?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1184686685&sr=1-5) would probably be a good choice for background, context, criticism, etc.

Constance Garnett has translated most of his stories into English (http://www.ibiblio.org/eldritch/ac/jr/index.htm). There are many collections of his works available (http://people.brandeis.edu/~teuber/chekhovbio.html#Writings), but good luck finding them all in one book, there are hundreds ! :p
