Is paul mean?

dis question can ve multiple answers. Paul learns bout himself thru Clara. Clara realises her fault thru Paul. I feel Paul was not selfish rathr confused wit his attraction 2wards Clara

I felt the whole relationship was mutual. Actually one might make the case that Clara was using Paul after her husband broke up with her.

I don't think Paul was mean moreso than apathetic because she could not complement him the way he desired. Clara satisfied Paul's physical longings, but couldn't reach him in other ways.

I do not think Paul was any more mean then Clara was, I think in someways they were euqally mean to each other, and equally used each other. Niether one of them seems to know what they truly want.
