Hesse's "Pinktor's Metamorphosis"

Do any of you know of this short story by Hesse? In the seventies I bought an illustrated copy, but it has since been lost. When I do searches of his works, none found list it.

Stephen, I have indeed heard of this story. If you do a search on the book title: Pictor's Metamorphoses and Other Fantasies, you will have the correct information. To have an illustrated copy of this book of Hesse Fantasies would be a treasure, methinks.
