In January, we will be reading a book by George Bernard Shaw who said:
Few people think more than two or three times a year; I have made an international reputation for myself by thinking once or twice a week.

The aim of the Book Club is to read and discuss new books together with other members.

Please try to avoid from voting for the books you have already read and/or do not intend to (re)read with us.

Thank you! :)

So, um, maybe this is a dumb question and there is just something here I don't know, but...well, is the choice here between doing one play, another play, or any of three complete sets of plays? The length difference has me slightly confused...

I have got Pygmalion at home, the only book by Bernard Shaw, so voted for it. Any more votes for a what-seem-to-be-a-really-good-play? :p

Well I might have voted for pygmalion Im actually a bit suprised scher didnt---think about it read Pygmalion then watch My Fair Lady and throw popcorn at the screen because they changed the ending. Im much prefer Pygmalion to my fair lady I was dissapointed when I first saw MFL But I was soo happy when I discovered Pyg that had the ending I wanted!

It was that type of thing. I guess it was the salvation army or something similar.

So, um, maybe this is a dumb question and there is just something here I don't know, but...well, is the choice here between doing one play, another play, or any of three complete sets of plays? The length difference has me slightly confused...The groups of plays listed are as they were published originally so I did not want to disturb that order. When put together, those three plays are still not any longer than any other novel we read.
Well I might have voted for pygmalion Im actually a bit suprised scher didnt---I have read Pygmalion and watched MFL so many times that I didn't want to vote for it again (they are very very special to me).

Well, the idea of doing three or four plays sounds like a lot of fun, but I really want to read Man and Superman. Think I'm gonna hold off on voting a while longer, though...

Both of those come from an even older version of Pygmalion in Ovid's Metamorphoses.

My vote is for Pygmalion
