Hii

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
~Robert Frost

what is the figure of speech in this poem ?

Thank you :)

There are several metaphors in that little poem. Actually almost every line is a metaphor.

Aww, that's the poem from The Outsiders, isn't it ?
God, how I loved that book ! :D

Oh, and two anaphors (I hope that's the English word for it - corrections are welcome...): the first one in the lines 2 and 3 (Her - Her), the second one in the lines 6 and 7 (So - So)
