I have to describe in detail, for my 9th grade literature class, Romeo and Juliet's masks that they wore to the Capulet party. I cannot find anything on the internet at all to help me. Can anyone please help me with this detailed description? Thanks!

I am pretty sure that there are no direct descriptions of them within the play itself, but if you have a critical edition of the play I would check the introduction and any criticism that accompanies it. Otherwise, if you have access to any kind of scholarly journal databases, like JSTOR, Project Muse, or Proquest, I would just use those to search for "Shakespearean Masks in Romeo and Juliet" or something along those lines. Those are the most likely places to find an accurate description of what the masks might look like. Otherwise, look for a BBC film version of the play as they often stay fairly close to an authentic interpretation. Books on Masks from the Elizabethan era would also be helpful. Hope this helps! Good luck!
