hey everyone, I've been curious about Aldous Huxley's "Doors of Perception" after reading Jim Morrison's biography "No one gets out alive"(Awesome for Doors fans); however, I am having adifficult time finding any information about where I can obtain a copy. I have tried my local libraries and book stores. I've even sucumbed to Ebay with no success. If anyone has read this novel and knows an online store who sells them please email me at [email protected] I would appreciate it!!!

Clarissa,
I have read "Doors of Perception" several times and I do own a copy. I work at Barnes and Noble and I ordered it through them. Call your local Barnes and Noble and give them this ISBN (International Standard Book Number) for "Doors of Perception"
*NOTE* - This comes with two essays "Doors of Perception" & "Heaven and Hell"

ISBN : 006059183

Hope this helped.

Clarissa,

The J.M.-biography is actually called "No one here gets out alive".

Websites to easily get hold of "The doors of Perception/Heaven and Hell" are:

www.amazon.com

www.abebooks.com (used books - or new)

(Why didn't you think of those sites?)

But "The doors of Perception/Heaven and Hell" isn't a novel, it's two very good essays. If you want a novel on the same theme, read Huxley's last novel "Island" - an awesome utopian vision.

Enjoy the book, great as it is. Then have a psychedelic to confirm what you've read.

"When the Doors of Perception are cleansed
everything will appear to man as it is - infinite"
- William Blake (Poet & Mystic)
