Heehee....I just thought it would be fun to do this in a forum with a lot of creative writers. See, I got this horrible sunburn yesterday because I went to the beach with a huge group of friends and family members, mostly because a lot of them are leaving soon after they graduate high school. I called in "sick" to work, because I didn't want them to give me crap about needing to let them know ahead of time and blah, blah, blah....because it wasn't a planned get-together...

anyway, I've already come up with a few good stories to excuse my sunburn, but what creative stories would you come up with? (Just curious....really :p )

Hmm. You thought the warmth of the sun would help you feel better. You feel asleep, because sick people need to rest. Oh, no, you awoke hours later, but the damage was already done. Tssk.

I wear SPF 30 waterproof sunscreen, because I burn easily....
