I thought I don't know
meant maybe
You thought maybe
I don't know was nice.

You said you could be the one
I heard you could be the one

we were
on hold
in limbo

between knowing and not knowing
between knowing and not wanting to know
between wanting
and knowing

I was held up
you took what you needed
what you wanted

You were held up
I kept you from where you wanted to be

but I couldn't keep you.
