You certainly know how to start a band. Get it right and good from the start. I must confess, I have high hopes for this venture. With 'genes' like Fiona's at the top, it must be successfull!
smilingtearz
05-10-2006, 04:17 AM
do you play an instrument?
ShoutGrace
05-10-2006, 04:20 AM
I sound the tune of my heart throughout my endeavors . . . Does that count?
I know a few guitar chords.
Oh! I nearly forgot! I am a worldclass xylophonist! (Strange I should forget all those lessons; years of laborious practice . . .)
smilingtearz
05-10-2006, 04:26 AM
You're in... we're in desperate need of instrumentalists... no auditions for you...
do you want a new set or you play your own xylophone?
ShoutGrace
05-10-2006, 04:28 AM
Oh, I require a brand new state of the art xylophone! Talent like mine don't come cheap, baby. :D
This (http://i3.tinypic.com/xmseo6.jpg) is the person we should be recruiting. Maybe you should PM him and make a preliminary offer?

This isn't the question thread, is it? :D
I am just rationally assuming that with talent like ours we'll undoubtedly make megabucks. Maybe you're right. Maybe we should first concentrate on coordinating our first practice.

ShoutGrace
05-10-2006, 04:58 AM
Oh I much prefer the classical model. It is what I'm most familiar with, after all. Logo? Ought we to create one? I would like to see a goopy sandwich, something on the accord of . . .

Pendragon
05-10-2006, 07:55 AM
Thank you for the invite. Yes, I play bass guitar, lear guitar, flat top guitar, some keyboards and drums. And I do write songs, most of my poetry can actually be sung. Here's a sample:
LET THE SONG BE SUNG
Let the song be sung
when the fingers weave the twilight,
when the moon rises from her bath
and the stars try not to peep.
Let the song be sung
whenever shadows gather,
when the twisting shades entwine
and the night strides out on stage.
Let the song be sung
and the stars and planets tango
while the North wind whistles his applause
and the ghosts come out to play.
Let the song be sung
from throats and tongues unseen
telling all the sorrowful tale
of the way things are—and must ever be…
Pendragon

I might need a better violin, because the one I have isn't that good. I don't need a bow.
I might be able to teach some norwegian dances to go with the folk songs, and maybe folk singing too.
We should use jaja jaja as part of the chorus for most of our songs. :D

1) non singers don't have to fill that form... you'll learn how to sing in course of time
2)We already have a manager sub, can we have you as the deputy manager and incharge of the members (you'll get you're appointment letter soon) ... they have a lot of questions which turns difficult with all these letters i've been typing!!
3)RJ , that's a good suggestion
4)Jaja :D
5)Peace and friendship...
thank you for your co-operation.

Hehe, I love music but it doesn't seem to reciprocate the feelings...it'll be the end of the world once I sing LOL! I can't seem to sing english songs well, only Japanese ones, and I partly play a piano and flute...I don't think I'm qualified for anything here ;)

You are not here
It will be sung like: You are noooooot heeeeeereeee (again in very very slow music)
I hope you liked it. I am looking forward to complete this song in no time!

She may be half a world away
When she turns the screen on
She tells you about her day
And she's on until dawn
Chorus:
She's my lit net babe
Just a little virtual girl
She's my lit net babe
Just my little brainy girl,

Whoa, been out of touch for a while. Sorry Pensy, and band members.
Let It Rain
Oh let the rain fly down from the sky
And wash the teardrops from my face
And let the cold winds chill, and then conceal
The Banshee-wail before my lips let it escape
Let the lightning flash, let the thunder crash
And the sky become the ocean’s roar
Let the darkness fall, concealing all
Oh, bring on the storm!
And let it rain…let it rain
Let the droplets come down with snare-drum sound (note precussion here)
Beat resounding everywhere!
Let the icy cold enclose my soul
Freeze a heart torn apart by fear
That harsh white glare reveal, conceal
The terror I can’t keep inside
Then in the fading light seize the Cloak of Night
And vainly try to hide!
And let it rain…let it rain
Let it rain…
Ease my pain…
Rest my troubled brain…
Let it rain…
Oh, yeah—
Let it rain…
(fade to wailing lead guitar....)

Life on the LitNet
A parody of Life in the Fast Lane by the Eagles
They were a hard-headed bunch, the guys were all handsome
The girls were devilishly pretty…
Their teachers and girlfriends held their Internet ransom
Away from this cybernet city.
They had nasty reputations as bookworms and geeks
People said they were lifeless, said they were weak
They had one thing in common
They could never log out,
People say, “I’d send that PM, but your space has run out!!"
Life on the LitNet
Surely make you lose your mind, mm
Are you with me so far?
Begging for Brontë, and hot for DeFoe
They loved to read Rushdie, they loved to read Poe,
They knew all of the Proverbs,
They knew all of the Joads
They threw great wanton orgies, and they wrote out their odes
There were deadlines for papers, dead flowers in the vase,
They pretended not to notice, they were caught up in the race
Up every evening, until it was light
Never too tired to make it,
Never too tired to fight about it
Life on the LitNet
Surely make you lose your mind
Life on the LitNet, everything all the time
Life on the LitNet, uh huh
(Long Instrumental Section)
Drinkin’ their coffee, blinded by thirst
They didn't see the stop signs,
Took a turn for the worst
They learned how to be pirates while they learned how to sing.
PB&J is their band, but they
Can’t play a thing.
They said, "Call the tech guys, our computer’s gonna crash."
"The man says he's comin', but you gotta pay him cash."
They posted too many smilies,
The cribvirgins would pout,
They didn’t care
They couldn’t bear to sign out
And it was life on the LitNet
Surely make you lose your mind
Life on the LitNet
Life on the LitNet
Everything, all the time
Life on the LitNet
Life on the LitNet
Life on the LitNet…
(Long Instrumental Finish)
