our Elizabeth is a rose with many many layers.Great Intelligence, a real lady, a kitten of mischeviousness, deep compassion and understanding. I remember thinking when I read only her second post, that here was person that would be greatly loved in this forum in no time at all. And particularly by all the handsome gentlemen.

And music begings, here comes a dancer
Emerging from behind a curtain
Sounds of sweet notes from a guitar
Making a dreamy creature so real
Dancing and dancing around me
Making my heart dance like a bee
Buzzing with joy and wonder
For the beauty of the dancer
My eyes are brightened with joy
Trambling and bursting like a young boy
All are gazing open mouthed
For an angelic dancer shouted
"Tango, play my men!"
And all joing and are happy then

To Elizabeth Seawall

To what shall we compare our own dear Lady Liz?
It might be far easier to describe the universe instead.
She is a lovely flower picked by angels visiting,
The bower where our lady nightly lays her head.
In kindness incomparable, in thoughtfulness unsurpassed,
In wisdom far beyond her tender years.
The beauty of an Aphrodite, The grace of an Artemis,
Athena's wisdom and courage to conquer all her fears.
And yet so very human, and this is no disgrace--
She does not flaunt her many gifts; she makes no boast:
She has capture every heart within the boundaries of this place--
And still has wonder in her eyes and in her voice!
Is it therefore possible to compare Elisabeth Seawall?
Then what shall I compare her to pray tell? Can you make the call?

For my dearest straight, manly man cowboy to find some rest, a lullaby:

"Don't look back now
Don't look back over years gone by
They're gone and now it's time to live
Don't look back now
You have to let your childhood go
And then you'll find a peace within

And you will free your mind to sleep
And you will free yourself to weep
And you will free your mind to sleep
And you will free yourself to weep

Don't be afraid
You have so many choices
Hold your head up high and say goodbye
No second thoughts
You have a future waiting
Take my hand and I will show the way

And you will free your mind to sleep
And you will free yourself to weep
And you will free your mind to sleep
And you will free yourself to weep..."

I will send you a PM (if you're ok with the idea) to try and explain myself properly. I just need a little time before, to think and answer my best. Of course, feel free to ask anything.

'Left out' - heh! Sorry people I guess we're on different planes here! I am not meaning to be harsh - guess nuance is hard online. Suppose I'm just a typical dour Northern bastard - I do 'do' sentimental - I just don't see any substance to all this stuff! I mean what is with the ceramic kissing couple??? Rachel, I am sure she won't mind me saying, PM'd to apologise for posting it!! I don't get it! I mean, apart from it being a hideously tacky piece of pottery, how could it POSSIBLY offend somebody! I just don't get it!

You are welcome to PM to 'explain' - but I have a feeling I will end up even more confused!

Anyway take it easy all I will try to understand your ways!

Nanoo! Nanoo!

There is a definite '18th Century' vibe to this thread at times isn't there? I keep getting an almost uncontrollable urge to throw down several large tankards of ale and start singing an old dark ballad/drinking song. strange. Ween's 'Bludgeon yer Eye' comes to mind. Don't listen to it, it's a horrible rowdy song, not to be taken out of context!

you actually mean, something like.. "You GOTTO listen to that song" to know what i mean!" right?

Bandini
05-14-2006, 08:23 AM
Sort of! But more like, You gotta listen to 2 or 3 albums to get it! There a complex band - intelligent yet foolish, profound yet peurile and shallow...oh, I can't explain. The song I mentioned above is like a pastiche of an old Irish drinking song, and very raucous. I love it!

-Girls are introduced during their morning walk.
-Girls become best friends by lunch time.
-Girls declare their undying friendship for each other by teatime and swear that they could not live another day without each other's company.
-Girls get ready for the dance together after dinner: 'You simply must do your hair like that, dearest! You look so adorable!'
'And you simply must wear that blue ribbon! I declare Lord Bigcatch could not take his eyes off of you, this afternoon when you were wearing it!'

Has ANYONE heard from Elizabeth lately? I'm really starting to worry about her...
She has greatly pre-occupied herself with some schooling over the summer, she said, and has some rather limited use of computers. She has worked hard, however, and I imagine her immense intelligence will take her far in success, but, yes, a shame to see her absence around the forum. :(

Awww... I truly am sorry. It's true I have had very limited access to internet, lately. Actually, I have to attend a teacher training for next year, and it's far from where I live. Plus, I have familial and health problems as well.
Please don't worry too much, and I'll try to drop by whenever I can. Hopefully, everything will be back to normal when the summer is over.
Just remember I love you all, and you remain in my thoughts.
Take good care...

I apologize for not talking to you more, Lady Liz. I did not know of your medical condition until just now. I will be praying for you. I sometimes wonder why it seems many of us on the LitNet seem to have illnesses of one kind or another. I'm disabled from Bi-Polar with severe (read MAJOR) complications, myself. Others have told me of their illness and asked prayer.

We all need somebody to lean on. I guess we all lean on each other and hold each other up!

Hoping you get well soon, and miss you much. http://www.cosgan.de/images/more/flowers/028.gif http://www.cosgan.de/images/more/flowers/028.gif http://www.cosgan.de/images/more/flowers/028.gif

Funny -- I don't have any major psychological or health problems. Well, aside from a tendency to transmute into a rubber duckie at random. And there's that hero complex. And the sudden bouts of lunacy.
