Im currently studying Macbeth for my year 9 SATs and we've been set an essay to write as homework.
I have quite a good understanding of the play, but it is the question I'm having the trouble with. The question we have to answer is "What might an audience notice about Macbeth's language and behaviour in these extracts?"
I'm completely confused and have been searching everywhere for some kind of help with this. Everything I have read is about the DIFFERENCES in the extracts (Act 2, Scenes 1 & 2 and Act 5, Scenes 3, 4 & 5) but the only way I can understand the question, is that it's about SIMILARITIES between the extracts.
I've tried BBC Bitesize as everyone seems to say its great, but it's complete rubbish. NOTHING on there helps at all. From 20 minutes on that website, all I've learned is "dramatic irony".
If someone could please help me with this it would be greatly appreciated. Also, a quick response would be great, as I need to write this essay as soon as possible.
