the task we have been given (for 20% of our exam) is to make an oral presentation, in pairs, on two different interpretation of Othello, and then outline our own. The exact format is of two uni professors disscussing the play, and finaly reaching an interpretation they aggree with. My plan in to cast one as black, and have him agree with Levis' post-colonial interpretation of Othello. because his is black i can show some of the reasons for peoples interpretations. The other person will subscribe to Bradley's interpretation, of Othello as a noble, perfect hero. The consnsus they will eventualy reach will be mostly Post-collonial. I may also try to comment on the controvery of the critical aproach to literature currently taught in australian schools, which is currently being heavily discussed in the australian media. What do you think of my plan?
