Add a word with definition or explanation (literary of course, or related)

Catharsis: cleansing of emotions, this is actually incredible hard to define, it's that 'feeling' isn't it? An uplifting of emotions. Bit like love in that its hard to define but a very strong feeling, often felt at the end of tragedies; leaves you 'high' and...makes you want to strive to be a better person.

What exactly do you mean by "literary of course, or related". Are some words not literary? Which ones?

PS - this should be in the 'games' sub-forum - I expect it'll get moved soon.
