This is my VERY feeble attempt at translating one of the striking hindi couplets by an anonymous poet. I haven't a hope of conveying half the intensity of the original, but for what it is worth, here goes:

"Where the heavens insist on unleashing their thunderbolts,
There and there alone I too insist on erecting my fortress."

Sindhu,i like hindi poems so much and this one was one of the most strong expressions i`ve read so far.

Thanks! This was one which happened to stick in my memory - I'll have to go back to the books for more and I don't have them with me right now- but I'll post soon.
