 does anybody have a fairly definitite idea of what Blake's view of innocence was because wherever I look on the internet I just get conflicting views. Its all very contradictory but I'm supposed to create a "Case For" for class on monday,
much appreciated xx

If you read and analyze his peom The Lamb you can get some information on his views of innocence.. also try The Tiger as well. Both of these should be helpful and show his thoughts for both innocence and its counterpart as well.

I think Blake's view is strongly related to children's innocence. Maybe you can check out Songs of Innocence, which consists poems on children/childhood or London.

An excerpt from Songs of Innocence:

And I made a rural pen,
And I stained the water clear,
And I wrote my happy songs,
Every child may joy to hear.
