Hi, all. Glad to be here among kindred spirits, i.e., writers, readers and lovers of literature. I'm presently reading Ray Bradbury's "Fahrenheit 451," published in 1950. It is a prophetic, futuristic novel that in many ways is like Orwell's "1984," pubished in 1949. Since Bradbury worked on his novel for three years, it is amazing how the two authors seemed to be on a similar wave length in both correct prophesy and futuristic vision. I truly think there is sometimes a mental telepathy between two authors, even though their locations may be far apart.

I used to sometimes think I had been plagiarized, but maybe it was mental telepathy between us at work.

I posted this as a reply to another post, but will edit it to direct you here.

Nice to meet you Russ.

And I'd say, isn't it amazing how Aldous Huxley wrote the prophetical dystopian novel Brave New World (1932) 17 years before Orwell's 1984 (1949) ;)
