The rules of this game are simple. Pick a person from history or literature (real or imagined) and give a clue to his or her idenity. Then others try to guess the ID. Questions may be asked, but only one per person, and must be able to be answered "yes" or "no". The one who guesses correctly first, after confirmation, chooses the next character. Sound like fun? First clue, then.

I made a great discovery for which I am rightfully well-known. However, when I made this discovery, they could have called me "The Streak"!

Archimedes, the great Greek engineer. It is said that he was working on a problem involving density (specifically it was how to detect when gold, a dense metal, has been adulterated with silver, a less dense metal). He noticed that when something is immersed in water it pushes its own volume of water out of the way. The object he immersed was supposedly his body, and he is reputed to have run naked through the streets shouting, "Eureka!"

A book of mine that was published in 1895 caused much scandal and protest. I was so disappointed with this book that I devoted the rest of my life to writing to poetry instead of novels.

Who am I?
