Please do not suggest too obscure authors (their works should be available in English on amazon to be nominated).

Well I had trouble narrowing my long list to 1 but I think ive settled on L.M.Montgomery
and before I hear peels of scornful laughter I was going to nominate Burroughs Rice but decided that was a bit too OTT
