I really cant understand the popular appeal of Jane Eyre, since it is such an outstanding novel. i would really regard Bronte as in the same class as D.H Lawrence or Chekhov, authors which nobody likes, so I cant believe so many people genuinely seem to like Jane Eyre.

Woman like Charlotte Bronte come about like once in a Millenium so I am surprised so many people seem to relate to her; i thought Jane Eyre would be regarded as a boring or weird person.

I'm afraid i can't mostly agree with you. The importance and significance of this woman is rather great in feminist movement since women suffer a lot until Victorian Age when Charlotte Bronte was awakening and strived to appeal to the society that women could have the same independence as men!
