Hi All! I am looking for some help regarding an Emily Dickinson poem. It is titled, "I Like to See it Lap the Miles". What exactly is this poem about? I know it is a riddle but am having a hard time figuring it out. I don't understand the third stanza at all:
To fit its sides, and crawl between
Complaining all the while
In horrid, hooting stanza;
Then chase itself down hill
Can someone interpret this for me? I think I may know what this poem is about but if I'm completely wrong I don't want to embarass myself. Also, what or who is "Boanerges". The first verse of the last stanza says, "and neigh like Boanerges. Is there an easy way to pronounce this? Thank you for any help at all!!!!
